Wake up-6:30 or 7:30 depends on how our night went. Ellie generally wakes up every 3 hours so depending on when she goes to sleep we wake up at various hours. Sometimes she is super fussy so bedtime gets pushed therefore wake up time moves as well.
-Change her diaper
-Feed her
-Wash her face-she has baby acne so we try to keep her face as clean as possible (not washed with soap just plain old water)
-Clean out her goopy eye and rub her tear ducts-she has blocked tear ducts so we are trying to open them up. This happens often in newborns however it usually clears up around week 3 (she'll be 6 weeks on Wednesday).
-Wash bottles
-Play time until about 9:30-Ellie is generally happiest in the morning so I try to fit in as much play time as possible which includes tummy time
-Eat again
-Change diaper
-Change clothes
-More play time if she isn't fussy until about 10:30 or 11:00
-Nap time usually takes place around 11:30
-Wake up from nap around 1 ish (again depends when she went down for a nap, if she ate a full bottle etc)
-Eat again
-Change diaper-this is generally when we have a poopy diaper which is SUPER disgusting now that she is a formula babe
-Fussy time starts around 3:45 no matter how good of a day she has had
-From about 4-6 we do a lot of rocking, bouncy chair time, checking diapers, using a pacifier-really anything to make her stop crying
-She eats a couple ounces in between the crying but never a whole bottle until later
-7:00 we are starting to give her a bath around this time everyday
-After bath we rub her down w/lotion this usually calms her down and she seems to like smelling pretty :)
-7:30 or 8 supper time
-8-9 more fussing, so we sing some songs or read a book...she likes singing and walking (or as we call "the happy dance")
-Wash and prepare bottles for night time
-9:30 ish it is lights out-again sometimes it is earlier around 9 and it has been as late as 10:45 some nights
Now here is where Ellie is completely inconsistent. She has slept for 5 or 5 and a half hours before so she doesn't wake up until around 2-those are my most favorite nights. BUT for the majority of the time she wakes up like clockwork every 2 to 3 hours depending on how much of her bottle she eats. It is VERY hard to keep her awake at night to finish the bottle without inducing another episode of fussiness, so sometimes I'd rather sleep for just 2 hours than endure 2 hours of crying!!
And then we wake up and do it all over again!
