Due to the invention of Facebook people have been able to spy into the private lives of everyone that they add as 'friends'. Who am I to deny this new way of stalking? And here in lies the point of this post...why in the world are all the kids...and I say kids because I don't feel like a complete adult yet...getting married and having babies by the age of 22? Most of my friends told me in high school that they were going to wait until their mid-20s to get married and wait till late 20s to have kids. When I facebook 'stalk' friends from high school, middle school and new friends from college about 75% are married and 50% have a baby (25% of this 50 are expecting AGAIN!) These figures maybe a little off...I'm not a math person
Am I missing the new trend to get married young? Should I be thinking about kids at 22? I always thought that I would be the last one to get married, the last one to have kids....yadda yadda.
But now I really don't think that's a bad thing. Jeff and I have discussed marriage and we are planning on getting married next year, that means I'll be 23 and he'll be 25 and I think thats a good age. When it comes to babies I think I'll try to wait another year after that because who needs a kid at 23???? I want to be able to travel, especially with Jeff and not worry about taking kids or having my parents or his parents watch them.
I think I'm in a good place at the moment. Kids having kids? Not for me.
